Andrea has over twenty years of experience in career counseling, outplacement, training, and nonprofit and public sector executive search.
As a career counselor she has helped hundreds of individuals by providing personalized confidential career counseling services to identify and pursue satisfying careers, manage successful career transitions and take advantage of new opportunities. In addition, she has assisted organizations with outplacement services for high level executives and key staff who are being transitioned out of the company. Andrea is well versed in the administration and interpretation of a variety of career assessments including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and the Strong Interest Inventory.
Andrea’s experience also includes designing and delivering well received employee development workshops on a variety of topics including career management, job search, resumes, interviewing, networking and work-life balance. She has extensive experience conducting Myers-Briggs (MBTI) workshops for organizations to assist them in improving team dynamics and communication.
Andrea is an expert in all phases of the recruitment process, having conducted a wide range of executive level search assignments for nonprofit and public sector clients.
Andrea has completed consulting assignments with Apple; Big Brothers/Big Sisters; BloodSource; CalPERS; CARES; the cities of Citrus Heights, Novato, Roseville, Sacramento, San Francisco, Vacaville and Woodland; Coherent; Concern EAP; the counties of Placer and Yolo; Herman Miller; Hewlett Packard; Intel; Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency; The Sacramento Bee; Shannon Associates; Senior Gleaners; Travelocity.com; U.C. Davis; Wilcox Miller Nelson; and the Yolo County Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Center. In addition, Andrea is on the EAP provider panel for Sutter Health and California’s State Compensation Insurance Fund (SCIF).
Andrea is a National Certified Counselor, Master Career Counselor and a graduate of The Packard Foundation’s Nonprofit Executive Search Institute. She previously served on the board of the Child Abuse Prevention Center where she chaired the fund development committee. She earned a Master’s degree in Career Counseling from California State University, Sacramento and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of California, Davis.
